Sukumar & Chandrashekar Yeleti will fight their respective films – Jagadam Vs Okkadunnadu, both in final stages of postproduction and slated for release by first week of March 1st and 2nd. And both the films carry good pre-release reports.
Two years ago Sukumar delivered the blockbuster with his debut film Arya a romantic drama. Now his new film Jagadam starring Ram and newcomer Isha is a gangster movie.
Okkadunnadu is the latest action drama from one of the best directors of our generation Chandra shekar Yeleti. He has already proved his mettle with his two films – Aitehy and Anukokunda Oka Roju.
What is the striking feature of these two films is that both the directors were inspired by real life incidents and deal with science undercurrent.
Jagadam is based on great psychologist Sigmund Freud’s theory that every human being possesses intrinsically animal instincts. ’My film opens with this Freud’s statement before the title cards roll on,’ director Sukumar told the media.
On the other hand, Okkadunnadu deals with Bombay Blood Group (one of the rare groups of human beings) and heart transplantation. Agrees Chandrasekhar: I don’t want to put it as secret. Yes, our film deals with these elements. But it is not a Sci-Fi and Okkadunnadu is pure action drama that is sensitively handled.
